Troon primary pupils learn the 5 W's

posted by Lee McKenzie on 20/05/2008

Today I visited Troon Primary School in Scotland where I spoke to Primary 4 pupils about life as a journalist and television presenter.

The classes of Mrs McKenzie and Mrs Oates behaved very well and asked some very good questions after they had watched some videos and made up some stories of their own.

I must say that some stories were better than others! There were some sensible ones, some sporty ones and some very strange ones indeed. I am still not sure about Cristiano Ronaldo playing football in Portugal with a chicken and eating his lunch! Very strange!

The important thing for anyone writing a story is to remember the 5 W’s - who, what, where, why and when. After that everything else is easy. Just use your imagination.

The next programmes I will be presenting are in June on channel 405 Sky Sports News. When I know dates and times, I will add them to the site so you all know when to watch!

Thanks for listening to me today Primary 4 and for visiting the website and I hope to see you all again soon.
